Expectation VS Reality

Today's expectation

  • wont go in the office
  • attend the Youth Service
  • watch PyroLympics at MOA with churchmate
Reality

  • didn't go in the office
  • attended Church Youth Service
  • went in the near SM. Sat inside the Mcdonalds. Looked for other fast food to eat. Ate at Mang Inasal with churchmates
deciding if we will eat at Mcdo or what

Then end up eating at Mang Inasal

Anyways, I had fun. I guess the last time I attended the Youth Service was two years ago. I thought I was old enough to attend that but I was really wrong. I learned from the preaching of how to priorotize GOD and to love him more. I also enjoyed hanging out with my girl churchmates.

Fasting is over

I just hope I had my before and after picture of fasting. I really dont know how many pounds I lost.

This year fasting was awesome. That 7 seven days revealed more of God's power, I am really amazed how God sustained me. Skipping meal was not easy, but because of God's grace, I still standing.
This year, I believe God will show more grace.

Lesson learned : Victory can not be claimed in the beginning of the journey. It is always in the end

Yesterday I posted that I survived the temptation. To my dismay, I failed last night.
*insert failing smile here*
An office mate noticed that Im not eating. I talk rarely. I smile little. She asked me if there's something wrong. She asked me if  im on fasting. I just smiled.

Matthew 6:16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
With all my might, I did not tell anyone in the office that I am fasting. With all my might I wore presentable dresses. Make up so I wont look pale. But I failed. They discovered it.

I survived!

Sinangag at Tuyo
Im on my 3rd day of fasting. Surprisingly, I survived two previous days without eating anything. Today is another Milo Marathon Day.

Early this morning I woke up smelling something delicious. Grandma is cooking for breakfast. Sinangag at tuyo. I didn't give a glimpse of attention to the food. Because if I do so, I might be tempted and eat. Hahaha Smelling senses is on its maximum power. I can name what's our neighbor's dish last night. TEMPTATION.  Another thing, Our team in our company usually treat us dinner ( because this week is an overtime week ) and I can't do anything but to say "No Thanks. Im still full" then smile. I must include, Im full of words of God. hahahah.

Goals. Temptations. Obstacles. Victory. Christ.
Third day of this fasting makes me realize, In life if you want to attain victory, you must have a goal. So whenever there's an obstacle, you will be never tempted. If Christ is the reason behind it. It's all worth it.
