To All The Single Ladies

Don’t let your longing for a godly man become your idol. Keep your eyes focused on Christ and maximize your singleness for His glory.
And don’t fool yourself; constantly talking about guys and being single does notmean that you have "given it to the Lord." That’s just you trying to convince yourself that you have.
I understand that this is a real struggle for many ladies. You pray, read all these singleness & dating articles, read couples’ blogs, read romance novels, watch a million romance movies, hoping that one day you will have something like that. Then years pass and you still don’t have that man. You’re still waiting.

Am I doing something wrong?
Am I ugly?
Is it because of __________?
Why don’t any of the nice guys notice me?
What do I need to change?

STOP. Stop trying to do all the right things. Be you. God doesn’t work in your time frame. Trust Him. What’s wrong is that you have made this issue your idol. You have filled your mind with romance, coveted the godly relationships around you, and put your hope in a man pursuing you (whom will never meet all the qualifications of those romance novels & movies).

Okay… so what? Repent. Stop looking to this issue as your hope. Dating and marrying a godly man has become your idol. Yes it is a God-given longing, but you have taken that longing and have begun to serve and worship it.
You are single right now for a purpose, and that purpose is to serve and worship Christ with all your being. Stop waiting around for a guy to pursue you. Live your life. Serve Christ. Serve others. Proclaim the gospel. You’ll meet a guy along the way. If you don’t, God will still be the object of your attention and you will be content serving Him.

With brotherly love,
Rod

On building Relationship

Sometimes, we usually associate the word relationship to "boy and girl relationship" and forgot the others. According to my friend, Merriam, Relationship is

  1.  the state of being related or interrelated <studied therelationship between the variables>
  2. the relation connecting or binding participants in a relationship
  3. state of affairs existing between those having relationsor dealings
  4. a romantic or passionate attachment
Relationship isn't all about that boy and girl relationship, it could be your relationship with your boss, your parents, your friends, and your colleagues. We are born relational being. Meaning, we can easily interact and be attach into someone. They are all saying that communication is very essential to any kind of relationship, well that's proven and tested, but, have you ever asked someone what's the secret in building relationship towards others?

There will be a lot of things to consider in building relationship, but the very first thing that we need to understand is that, if we want to build a good relationship, we should invest time. We should invest quality time to that person.

If you want to have a strong bond with your family, invest time with them. Date them, Eat Dinner Together. Attend Church Together. That's why we believe that the family who prays together will stay together right?

If you want to have a good relationship with your workmates, invest time with them. Eat where they eat. Hang out with them.

And most of all, if you long to have an intimate relationship with the Lord, invest time with God. Read the bible. Mediate the word of God (Joshua 1:8) Pray. Communicate with God. If you've been praying consistently, pray more. Invest more time in prayer.

God desires to have an intimacy with us. Build and Invest in your relationship with God. If you have a good relationship with God, every relationship will follow.

Why was the First Man created Alone?

Disclaimer: It is an original entry from Sean's Blog
Paradise
Have you ever wondered why God created Adam before Eve? Let me speak first with the ladies. In some cases that we get to have men open our door, hear them say, “Ladies first” or “After you”… soon thereafter a smile marks our faces, and we’ll be happy to have met one of the few gentlemen left in the planet. But when our God created the universe, the human race, He first made Adam. As I pondered and talked with God, here are some of the reasons:
Men Are Designed To Lead.
Kindly note, designed, it’s not a matter of want. Guys, you’re made for leadership. God wanted you first to know the ins and outs, the structural framework and then you delegate. He knows that you hunger for the adventure, to seek the unknown for yourself and by yourself. And guess what, He specifically designed you to enjoy it.
Yes, two minds indeed are better than one. However, order first has to be established and our systematic God placed men in that authority. And as we all know, leadership comes with great responsibility.
Men Have Priorities.
If you will read in Genesis 1 verse 20-24, God created great creatures of the sea, every winged bird according to its kind, living creatures on the land, wild animals according to its kind and creatures that move along the ground. In v22, it writes God blessed them and said, “Be faithful and increase in number.” But again, for the human race, only a man was created.
In v26, God said, “Let us make man in our image in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
From here, we can say that God created man first for Himself; to do His work and mission for Him. He ought to be fully developed, molded into His likeness in strength and in character. And then after this, God creates his Eve – or should I say, He lets Adam meet his Eve.
And so what are we ladies ought to do? You guessed it right! We are to wait. But not just that, we are to be developed as well. In Proverbs 31 verse 11, it writes, “Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value.” Statistics now says that for every man, there are 7 women! So we better make sure that we’re the better choice compared to the other 6, don’t you think?
Being a GentlemanWomen Are Designed To Partner.
There was an enormous task to be done. God had entrusted Adam with His creation. And He placed Eve alongside him to encourage, support and help him carry his tasks. God didn’t particularly specify that Eve should rule over the animals with Adam but He wanted her to be beside Adam. Some of you might think this to be unfair but basing it in Scripture, God placed Adam in-charge and so Eve’s focal was to be there for Adam… to serve him… to accompany him.
We are to trust our God and remember Him to be our Creator and Author of our love stories. He knows even the numbers of hair in our head. He knows the utmost desires of our hearts. Therefore, wouldn’t He know what is best for you? Definitely! But in our waiting, in Him alone, can we find the Perfect Gentleman.
‘You can’t hurry love.’
Men, Adam never asked God he needed a mate. He didn’t question his Master how come all the creatures he ruled over had a partner yet he didn’t. God just knows. In His wisdom, riches and grace, He provided him with his Eve out of his own ribs. And so men, I urge you to work and be developed for the advancement of His Kingdom. And women, wait patiently and expectantly for your Adam. Keep yourselves pure and be steadfast for your man.
Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. –Matthew 6: 33.

No more second thought.

If your boyfriend hurt you physically, Leave him! It will happen again and again. Believe me. He can hurt you twice, thrice and worst, he can beat you when you get married. Don't be a fool and believe that he will change. No. He wont. He will get even worst. You still have time to leave. God didn't create man to beat woman. He created them to protect. So leave!
I am really inspired of how Pastor Dennis Sy blog about men and women. I love reading his blog. Here is one of my favorite's blog post of him

Ten Ways Women Can do Men a Favor

1. Single women, let the man pursue you. Don’t court the man.
2. Tell the man upfront if he doesn’t stand a chance.
3. Wives, let your man take the lead in your marriage. If you are heading it up, start small by asking him to decide where you guys are going to eat out tonight and then move to bigger decisions.
4. Please don’t pose sexy pics of yourself online for the whole world to see and to tempt men to lust over you.
5. If a man flirts with you – tell him you are not that kind of girl.
6. Give him some alone time when he asks for it, and don’t ask him why he needs it.
7. Focus on his strengths and not his weaknesses. Be his number one cheerleader.
8. Lower your expectations of us and appreciate men more.
9. Don’t baby your man. Man him up – speak words like “you are the man, you are so strong, you are the best” Men would love to hear the words “I AM PROUD OF YOU” more than the words “I LOVE YOU”
10. Pray for godly, biblical man to rise up in our generation.

If you want to get in a relationship because

If you want to get in a relationship because you want to be happy,
remain single, relationship isn't all about happiness.
If you want to get in a relationship because you want to be complete,
remain single, no one can fulfill your emptiness except God.
If you want to get in a relationship because you want to be secured.
remain single, you know wedding ring couldn't even secure you.
If you want to get in a relationship because you want to be loved,
remain single, you will only feel neglected in relationship sometimes.
If you want to get in a relationship because you want to have a beautiful gf,
remain single, beauty fades.
If you want to get in a relationship because you want to get over from your past,
remain single, you'll end up hurting your partner.
If you want to get in a relationship because you think he is a boyfriend material,
remain single, you better look for a husband material instead.

“Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something: they're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place that you go to take.”

  • Anthony Robbins
Relationship isn't a place where you can always get something. The old saying goes, "relationship is always, give give and take"
I believe that guys should take the initiative move and ask the girl out. I also believe in commitment and gender roles in the relationship; the men providing lead and protection while the women follow. Yeah I know generations have passed and things have changed since then and many would think that this idea is sexist. But in my interpretation, women and men have endless differences and no matter how much of a feminist you are, you must recognize that men and women are built differently. Ironically though, that’s the beauty of love; having two contrasting objects fit together in a warm and appeased harmony. I believe in moving slowly (there’s no need rush) and building a foundation with the one you want to be with. I don’t like how in today’s relationship, people are dating as soon as someone says they like you. What happened to the get-to-know-each-other process? Don’t be with someone just because it seems right at the moment but be with them because you truly believe that it would work out in the long run.

Signal your intention at all times

Guys, Signal your intention at all time. If  you're interested into someone, tell her. Inform her. If you're ready for a a commitment, pursue her. But If you're not ready to commit, do not show any sweetness, she's end up getting hurt. You need to understand girls are naturally assuming,.

Girls, Signal your intention at all time. If someone has been pursuing you for a long period of time and you're not interested with him, Inform him, do not let him wait for nothing. Do not be so mysterious that you keep on showing you like him but you're just enjoying being pursued. Guys has feelings too.
