Lord, Do you?

Delight yourself in the Lord;

And He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalms 37:4 NASB

Maybe this verse is one of your favorite verses in the bible. Maybe, in times of lifting your request, faithgoals, prayer list, you're reminding God about His promise in this verse. God will give the desires of your heart, if you delight yourself in Him. Opps. Wait a minute. Why does in this verse, Delighting yourself to the Lord came first before His promise that He will give the desires of your heart? Does this mean something? Well. The answer is Yes. Before God gives you what is in your heart, He wants you first to seek him, delight in Him. Prioritize Him. So, does it guarantee that God will exactly give the desires of your heart? 

One of God's characters that amaze me is how He answers prayer. (God moves on mysterious way right? Not so mysterious but, surprisingly I guess. ) The reason, why He wants you to delight yourself in Him, is because, He wants you know His desires for you. That is how great He is!! He wants you to delight yourself in Him, so His heart, and His desires, will be in line with yours. Amazing right? 

Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will reveal His perfect will for you.

My prayer for the election 2013

Dear Lord,

You commanded us to submit to the authority (1 Peter 2:13) I pray that the authority who will be sited is the the person you appointed. Do not let cheaters win. Let you will be done on this country.

I pray that all voters will vote according to your standards. Open their eyes so they can see people who really deserve to win, open their hearts so they can understand the importance of their votes. 

I pray Lord for a peaceful election day. I pray that there will be no violence to this awaited event. 

You said to your word, that your plan for us is to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11), give us a heart that will be faithful to believe and trust in you that there's always a hope for our country. 

You knows what's best for us. LET YOUR WILL BE DONE

When I stopped praying,

No. Not literally. I never stopped praying faithfully for the things that I'm believing to have, or the person I want to be. But there's a certain instance where I asked myself, about my reasons in praying. 

Let say, I have been praying for this  company for a long time. The first time I tried. I failed. The second time, I missed my final interview, and for the last time, ( Third time, But I swear it would be my last ) My heart was totally different. For  a very unexplained reason, I couldn't feel it's really for me. It's seems that, I lost my interest to the company that I've been praying. Then I asked God why. Why all of the sudden, my heart to work there was gone. 


When we pray for the things we want, God gives it.  For He answers our prayer if we believe we've received it. ( Mark 11:24 ) But if you think God doesn't give the things you want, worry not. God still answers our prayer by changing our heart. Because we make so many plans for ourselves, but still God's plan will prevail. ( Proverbs 19:21 ) 

And in my case, He answered my prayer!! Yes really. He let me realized, that it's not for me. He prepared best for me and He doesn't want me to settle for what I thought the best. And I will not stop praying ( 1 Thessalonians 5:17 )
