23 Lessons I learned

I celebrated my 23rd birthday last weekend, and I as listed down the things I'm thankful for, I realized how these lessons help me to  become who I am today.

1. Some promises (from people)  are meant to be forgotten.
2. People will forget the good things you've done for them, but they will remember the bad things you've caused. Do good anyway ( Galatians 6:9)
3. Leave the house early so you can come on time.
4. Talk less. Listen More.
5. You may not be born leader, but you can always be great one.
6. You may not hear affirmation, applause from others for the good works you've done. Its okay, God is always proud of you.
7. Some people are inspired in you. Continue to stand to all for the things you believe in.
8. Your prayers are powerful. Pray unceasingly.
9. Your emotions are just emotions not your life. Do not live with it.
10. Things will not always be what you want it to be. Learn to let go and move on.
11. Your bank account can not love you, you family can.
12. Remember all the people you can count on. But do not forget those who neglected you on your difficult time. Time will come that they'll need you. Help them anyway.
13. Love your mom. She's your first hero.
14. Stay pure for your future husband.
15. You're inspiring others live. Stay humble.
16. Probably, you'll get tired with what you're doing, always go back with why you're doing those. Glorify God.
17. Your facebook status has something to do with your attitude. Its up to you if you want other people to think who you are.
18. If you think you can change something, then change it. If you can not, accept it.
19. If you'll get disappointed because you didn't get what you wanted, remember you can not get everything you want. Be mature enough to accept it.
20. God is not a gennie. He's a good God. He can not say yes for all your prayers.  It could be no, it could be wait. He knows what's best for you. Trust Him.
21. Everytime you feel so down, eat icecream. It if didn't help. Talk to a friend.
22. Healing starts with acceptance. You're not always strong. Always talk to God.
23. You are secured in God. Don't need to have a room for insecurity

What God's trying to teach me

I am in trouble. literally. My mind is in trouble. I can not think what are the things to be considered first. I often say Im tired. Tired of thinking how to fix things, how to solve problem and how to keep my heart at peace. Im tired. Physically. Emotionally. Mentally. But I keep on strengthening my spiritual body. I am crying to God if He can take this pain away, If He can at least, give me peaceful mind and heart.

I really appreciate God this week, how He comforts me and how He reminded me of his love. God said, "it is not a high paid job that will save my family's finances. It is not a new environment that will restore my relationship with everyone". He reminded me that it will not me, who fight in this battle, but it's Him. It is not my own ways of getting things well done. But it is His job.He reminded of how He provides in all of His creations, I am reminded of how his grace works. His grace is more than enough to give me peace. And I am reminded of how Christ conquered everything for me. I shouldn't be worried. Financial Provision? Relationship Restoration? Peacful heart? God is the source of it.

Psalm 85:8
I will listen to what God the LORD says; he promises peace to his people, his faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly.

I learn to trust God more. :101:
But I still need to find a new job. hihihi

A written Diary

Would you believe that I still keep my journal? I started using this way back 2004. And so glad that I still have time to write on it. I'm not consistent it writing in my journal, I just usually write here when I don't have someone to talk to, when I can no longer contain my feelings and most of all, when I feel so  sad that I don't want anybody to know it.  I thought I wasn't good enough in keeping my feelings, but as I  read my journal entry for the passed years, I realized I wrote things there that I never shared to anyone.

That journal is full of rants, agony, and prayers. And names of boys that made me *kilig during high school and college days. Hahaha.

I did the love language meter and the results didn't surprise me

Words of Affirmation
Actions don’t always speak louder than words. If this is your love language, unsolicited compliments mean the world to you. Hearing the words, “I love you,” are important—hearing the reasons behind that love sends your spirits skyward. Insults can leave you shattered and are not easily forgotten.
Words of Affirmation is my primary love language. Hearing affirmation from others really inspires me, that is why when they say something against me, I got affected.

Experiences

Contrary to what are other's saying about me that I have experienced everything, actually, I knew just few little things. But compared to what other's have experience in life, I can proudly say, I experienced unusual  things teens now didn't experience.

  • I am a farmer's granddaughter. I experienced planting rice. Climbing in the coconut tree, catching butterflies in the rice field, weaving abaka, drinking tuba ( coconut wine ) Sell fruits and vegetable.
  • I am a laundress' granddaughter. I grew up washing my clothes, ironing it and keeping in mind I shouldn't let my clothes be in mess because it is really hard to wash clothes when you don't have washing machine.
  • I am a Domestic Helper's daughter. I am responsible for my sibling's education. Doing their homework, attending their school meeting, cooking food for them. I am also responsible in providing for or finances.
  • I am a Sinner, I lied. I blamed others, but Jesus made my heart new, He sets standards in me.

Aside from that experiences, I also experienced pain:

Had a failing grade when I was in college, molested when I was a child, heartaches, rejections, being bullied, accused of robbery, Denied by my own father, criticized by my officemates, heard word sh*t from theatermates, tempted to commit sex. But again. I stand. Keep on moving, Standing strong, Because I know, I need to be happy, I need to show other's I am still strong, I have my GOD. He still the reason, why in everything, in every circumstances, I have GOD who strengthen me.

Experience that make me a stronger person, in my 20 years of existent, I am still joyful.
Underwear. From Kuwait with love.
Adorable huh? I received a package from mama, from Kuwait with love. It includes this underwear. Funny . I can not imagine myself wearing that. But Hahaha. My mom is crazy.
