Why do you need to guard your heart?

Why guard your heart? Simply because it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23) Wellspring. Meaning source, beginning, supply of something. It is where everything started. Your Emotions, happiness, anger, envy, faithfulness, loyalty, love, passion, your ideas and thoughts. It is where everything started.

Why guard your heart? Simply because out of the abundance of your heart, the mouth speaks. ( Matthew 12:34) What you say, intentionally or unintentionally first felt by your heart. The gossip you spread, comes from the hatred in your heart. The affirmation you said, comes from the appreciation of your heart.

Why guard your heart? Simply because it is the deceitful of all.  (Jeremiah 17:9) Since every emotions first felt in your heart,  Anybody can feed your with lies that will result to negative emotion.

Love is therefore a "decision". Not just a feeling.

During an open forum, a woman asked," How do I know if I am with the right person?"

The speaker then noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so he said, "It depends. Is that your partner?" In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?" Let me answer this question because the chances are good that it's weighing on your mind replied the speaker.

Here's the answer.

Every relationship has a cycle… In the beginning; you fall in love with your partner. You anticipate their calls, want their touch, and like their individual or unique characteristics . Falling in love wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love.

People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet."Picture the expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few months or years of being together, the euphoria of love fades. It's a natural cycle of EVERY relationship.

Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's individual or unique characteristics , instead of being cute, it'll drive you nuts. The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship; you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your partner might start asking, "Am I with the right person?" And as you reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when relationships breakdown.

The key to succeeding in a relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the person you found.

People blame their partners for their unhappiness and look outside for fulfillment. Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes.

Infidelity is the most common. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances. But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your relationship. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could. And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later.

Because (listen carefully to this):

The key to succeeding in a Relationship is not finding the right person; it's learning to love the Person you found.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. You have to work on it day in and day out. It takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it demands WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make it work. Make no mistake about it.

Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your partner), Just as there are physical laws Of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. If you know how to apply these laws, the results are predictable.

Love is therefore a "decision". Not just a feeling.

Remember this always: It's not pre-determined who walks into your life. It is up to you to decide who you let walk away, who you let stay, and who you refuse to let GO.

The power of love lettters

Decades ago, when people are not familiar with technologies yet, when inventions of gadgets are rare, people communicate through letters. Way back then, sending love letter , is one way of showing love. But because of our modern technologies, love letters are now found in facebook walls, blogs, notes, or sometimes, through sms.

Good news, there are still people who love to write  letters. They find time to look for  stationery. And prepared for a good hand writing.

Hey yes. I love writing and receiving letters. How about you? When was the last time you write and receive letters?

So just tell me why.

I really dont understand why there are people who deny they are inlove wherein their action reveals what they feel. But  when they're broken hearted  they let everyone knows that it hurts like yeah and they will never fall in love again. It is really easy for you to show that you're in pain? than those times you were happy? Oh la la.

Your Friends: No. Don't deny it. You look good. You're blooming. Tell us who.
You: Who what?
Your Friends: Who inspires you.
You: No! There's none.
Your Friends: Oh cmon! Your eyes are telling "Im inlove"
You: No. Im not!!

But then....
Your Friends: You look so miserable. What happened?
You: It's my fault. It's my fault.
Your Friends: Your fault what?
You: I shouldn't fall. But I just did. I fell in love. Men are all the same. They're giving me heartbreak. I hate them all. I hate them all. I wont fall in love again.

So just tell me why.

Sincere it is.

We can not easily distinguish if a person is sincere in giving a helping hand or not. Because most of the time, a person is so willing to invest all his efforts, time and money into something he's expecting to get something in return. Business Minded. But if know someone who has been there with you, through your ups and downs, there's no need to question his sincerity. That person loves you. There's no need to question what he wants from you. He needs you. No need to question why he keeps on helping and supporting you. What matters is that he choose to be with you.

When in Rome: Late Review

Synopsis:
Beth is a hard working career woman whose last relationship says that she puts her work above him so he left her. When he tells her he found another career woman and is willing to stick it out with her and is engaged to her. Beth feels that there is no one for her. And when she goes to Rome to attend her sister's impromptu wedding and after meeting the best man, Nick she's attracted to him but after seeing him with another woman, she gets drunk and goes into the famed Fountain of Love and takes some coins thrown by people looking for love. When she goes back to New York four men start coming onto her. And Nick keeps calling her asking her out. She later learns that what she did--is a no no. It seems legend says that if you take a coins out of the fountain the person who threw it will fall in love with who took the coin. So she has to find a way to break the curse. And she wonders if Nick whom she likes is with her cause he wants to or is he under the spell. (source)

Have you ever thrown coins to the wishing well? Have ever thought your wish will be granted? Do you believe in magic? The movie When in Rome, tells that the only magic we could ever believe is the magic of love.

Lesson Learned:

  • Because of the pain we experienced from the past, we're now afraid to fall in love again. But love is about taking risk. We couldn't know unless we try.
  • Love is always a decision to make.
  • We don't need to rush love, it will happen. In the right time, in the right place, and with the right person.
  • Family occasions should be prioritize over work.
And my favorite quotation from the movie is:
The whole point of love is, to put someone else's needs above your own. -Al, one of Beth's suitor

Thank you for the broken heart

There’s always a reality when you broke a woman’s heart, you will see changes after she moved on. Physically, Mentally and Emotionally. She got stronger everytime you broke her heart. But please. Please do not make it as an excuse to continually hurt her so you can always see her strong. She’s also a human. Her heart is fragile.

a letter

I believe that guys should take the initiative move and ask the girl out. I also believe in commitment and gender roles in the relationship; the men providing lead and protection while the women follow. Yeah I know generations have passed and things have changed since then and many would think that this idea is sexist. But in my interpretation, women and men have endless differences and no matter how much of a feminist you are, you must recognize that men and women are built differently. Ironically though, that’s the beauty of love; having two contrasting objects fit together in a warm and appeased harmony. I believe in moving slowly (there’s no need rush) and building a foundation with the one you want to be with. I don’t like how in today’s relationship, people are dating as soon as someone says they like you. What happened to the get-to-know-each-other process? Don’t be with someone just because it seems right at the moment but be with them because you truly believe that it would work out in the long run.

Signal your intention at all times

Guys, Signal your intention at all time. If  you're interested into someone, tell her. Inform her. If you're ready for a a commitment, pursue her. But If you're not ready to commit, do not show any sweetness, she's end up getting hurt. You need to understand girls are naturally assuming,.

Girls, Signal your intention at all time. If someone has been pursuing you for a long period of time and you're not interested with him, Inform him, do not let him wait for nothing. Do not be so mysterious that you keep on showing you like him but you're just enjoying being pursued. Guys has feelings too.

Unlocking Your Feminine Power

by Leslie Ludy
When asked the question, “What would you say are young women most disillusioned with?”To me, the answer to that question is obvious: today’s young women are primarily disillusioned with guys. Girls grow up reading fairy tales and dreaming of Prince Charming, but by the time we get to sixth grade, we are presented with a standard of masculinity so shockingly below our ideal that we can’t help but become disillusioned and even dismayed. We’ve shrugged our shoulders and accepted the dismal fact that fairy tales are nothing more than childish, unrealistic dreams, so we sit around in discussion groups trying to cope with our disappointing reality.

But what if we can do something about it? What if fairy tales really are possible? What if we aren’t supposed to settle for such a dim outlook on love and romance?

As women, we have a far greater power over the course of masculinity than most of us realize. We can use our femininity to influence men toward strength or toward weakness. Unfortunately, most of us don’t use our feminine power correctly. We nag, criticize, complain, manipulate, and seduce, hoping that our self-built techniques will somehow work some magic and turn a frog into a prince. But when selfishness is our motivation for changing guys, we only end up fueling the problem and leading men into even greater weakness. So, what is God’s design for empowering femininity?

“…the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God. For in this manner, in former times, the holy women who trusted in God also adorned themselves, being submissive to their own husbands, as Sarah obeyed Abraham calling him lord.” (1 Peter 3:4-6)

If you want guys to start acting more heroic, don’t label them, scorn them, or bash them. Believe that they can become something more. It is not having faith in a man, but in what our mighty, amazing, triumphant God can do in and through a man. Let your words bring life and encouragement, not sarcasm and disdain. As women, we are created to build men up, not tear them down.

It is not our job to change men. Only God can do that. Our job is to participate with God in bringing His desired change about - not through angry words or self-effort, but through diligent prayer and a Christ-like example

Dear Women,
Men are hunters in nature, we love to go after the prey and so enjoy hunting. When you do the first move and always look after us, our excitement’ gone. We always want to do the initiative. You don’t need to hurry. We show respect and we’re expecting that from you, We’re surely pursue you when we’re ready. We are not showing sweetness all the time because we don’t want to see you crying because you’re hurt from assuming. Wait for our moves. We have our own style.
Hoping you still wait,
Men

Dear Men,

Be careful in every little kind of sweetness you show, we might fall in love. We are always expecting more, we assume more. You might say “take care” but it could mean “take care ‘cause I love you”. When you tap our shoulder it could mean ” You can Do it. I trust you” A simple text in the morning could mean a lot to us. You know us, women. Your simple smile could make us imagine you’re waiting on the altar, while we’re walking in the aisle. We’re women. And we believe you don’t want to see us crying, hurt. Please be careful.

Saving hearts from pain,
Women
