Giving up. Letting go. It is not actually thing easy to do. But I admire one of the bible characters, King Hezekiah. He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, . He did what is pleasing to the Lord, and God is honor with him. ( Stories at 2 Kings 18-20). King Hezekiah got sick and since God is pleased with him, He let Hezekiah live for 15 more years.
16 Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord: 17 Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have stored up till this day, shall be carried to Babylon. Nothing shall be left, says the Lord. 18 And some of your own sons, who shall be born to you, shall be taken away, and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”
19 Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah,“The word of the Lord that you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?”
If this will happen to me, And God will take away the things that are important to me, I couldn't really give up something so easy. It is not easy. But if it may glorify God. I will. I will do what pleases Him. “Why not, if there will be peace and security in my days?”
